Benue State College of Health Sciences & Technology Announces Indefinite Postponement of 100-Level Resumption

The management of the Benue State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agasha, has announced the indefinite postponement of the resumption of academic activities for 100-Level students, which was earlier scheduled for Monday, 21 September 2026.

According to the College, the decision follows renewed hostilities recently recorded between the Mbakor and Nongov communities within the College’s host community.

Management stated that the decision was reached after careful consideration of the overall interest of the College, with the safety and security of staff and students remaining the paramount concern.

The College Management has also appealed to relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts towards achieving lasting peace in the area, which will enable the full resumption of academic activities.

Students who have already commenced their journey back to campus are advised to take note of the postponement and make the necessary arrangements.

A new resumption date will be communicated in due course.

The College appreciates the understanding and cooperation of students, parents, staff and other members of the College community during this period.
