FUTO begins JUPEB admission for 2026/2027 session
The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced the commencement of admission into its 2026/2027 JUPEB Foundation School (JFS) Programme.
The one-year JUPEB Foundation School programme is designed to prepare candidates for Direct Entry admission into FUTO and other Nigerian and foreign universities. The university also published the announcement on its official website: https://futo.edu.ng/news
Eligibility
Interested candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in SSCE, NECO or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two sittings. The required subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, depending on the candidate’s intended course of study.
Candidates seeking admission into Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) must have at least five O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, obtained in one sitting.
Candidates awaiting their O’Level results are also eligible to apply.
JUPEB subject combinations
The approved subject combinations are:
- Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) – Biology, Chemistry and Physics (BCP)
- Biological Sciences (SOBS) – Biology, Chemistry and Physics (BCP)
- Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET) – Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics (CMP)
- Electrical Systems Engineering Technology (SESET) – Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics (CMP)
- Environmental Sciences (SOES) – Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics (CMP)
- Health Technology – Biology, Chemistry and Physics (BCP)
- Information and Communication Technology (SICT) – Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics (CMP)
- Logistics and Innovation Technology (SLIT) – Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics (CMP)
- Physical Sciences (SOPS) – Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics (CMP)
- Medicine (COM) – Biology, Chemistry and Physics (BCP)
How to apply
Applicants are required to visit the official application portal at https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#jupeb to complete the application process.
Candidates are advised to carefully follow the application instructions and ensure that all required information is correctly provided.
Application fee and lecture date
The application fee is ₦25,000, payable via Remita.
According to the university, lectures will commence on 21 September 2026.
